Massimo Fanin

Massimo Fanin is a highly experienced architect who joined BLDA in 2019 and became Associate Director in 2026, bringing over 20 years of expertise in delivering high-end residential projects across all RIBA stages. Lately he has been leading the complex redesign of a disused Grade II Listed building in Mayfair, previously used as a bank, and now transformed into an exciting new restaurant in one of the busiest areas of central London.

Educated at La Sapienza University in Rome and a RIBA registered architect, he has worked with leading designers and led major heritage refurbishments, including projects on historical Cheyne Walk and in Belgravia. Working on historic properties in Rome and in central London has contribute to his knowledge in finding ways to give new life and purpose to existing buildings while maintaining their historic values and always ensuring successful collaborations with the local authorities.

He is recognized for strong technical coordination skills and a progressive approach to sustainability, notably securing one of Camden`s first consents for full demolition and rebuild since they became the first borough in London to adopt stricter sustainability polices in January 2021.

He enjoys working in close contact with clients, designers, consultants and contractors, believing that the success of a project is guaranteed by the productive collaboration of all who are involved in it.
