Swaylands

BLDA converted and added to this former grand county house.

The development is set in an estate comprising fifty acres with a series of Listed Buildings within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Registered Landscape outside Penshurst Kent.

A high end residential development comprising one very large house converted to apartments with two new build apartment buildings created in the grounds. Each new building contains 10 apartments. In addition there are further individual houses refurbished within the estate.

The original country house was converted to create 24 bespoke apartments.

The setting of the new apartment buildings within the historic asset of the site created an opportunity for Enabling Development works.

BLDA worked closely with English Heritage in this early application of Enabling Development being permitted to retain the historic asset.
