New House in Cathcart Road

Planning permission has just been awarded for a new-build 6-storey contemporary single family dwelling in ‘The Boltons’ conservation area in the heart of Chelsea.

Conservation area consent was required for the demolition of the existing house in this highly unusual consent awarded in the leafy and ultra-conservative Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The house features signif cant underground development and represents a rare opportunity to build a modern house, achieved with a carefully considered strategic approach towards planning by Barrett Lloyd Davis Associates Ltd.

Tranmere Road

This site off Tranmere Road is restricted and presented difficulties in Town Planning terms. The design achieves three novel “town houses” based round private external spaces, reducing circulation space to the minimum and maximising useable space. The clean lines of the houses completed in 2009 provide a contrast to the regular south London surrounding houses. The houses sold readily into a difficult market.
